Good News. Here Are the People Who Can Forget About AI Forever.

TL/DR: Most people think AI won’t affect them. They’re wrong. There are only two groups who truly never need to learn AI: people living completely off the grid and people in their 90s who’ve opted out of modern life. Everyone else. every job, every industry. every household. is already being quietly reshaped by AI behind the scenes. If you don’t learn the basics, you won’t lose your job. but you will lose the advantage.
Yep. You read that right. After talking to hundreds of people over the past year, I finally found the groups of folks who can stop worrying about AI. They’ll never need it. It will never touch their lives. They are completely off the hook.
Ready?
Here they are:
…
…
Nobody. Absolutely nobody.
Alright. Let’s talk about it.
The Lie We Tell Ourselves
I keep hearing the same three lines from people who haven’t touched AI yet:
“It doesn’t affect my job.”
“I’m not a tech person.”
“I don’t need it.”
Look, I get it. Most people think AI is for Silicon Valley, coders, and people who say things like “synergy” with a straight face.
But here’s the plain truth. AI isn’t coming for your job. It’s coming for all the sticky little tasks around your job.
The thinking. The planning. The documenting. The scheduling. The explaining. The “Can someone help me with this?” The “I don’t have time for this.”
That part touches everybody.
The People Who Think They Don’t Need AI
Let’s take a stroll through some common groups:
Tradespeople. Electricians. Plumbers. HVAC pros. They say AI isn’t in their world. Meanwhile their scheduling, diagnostics, inventory, quoting, and customer service are already run by AI.
Retail workers. They don’t use AI. But the store’s scheduling system, pricing decisions, loss prevention cameras, and product ordering… all AI.
Truck drivers. They think AI is some far-off threat. Meanwhile routing, dispatching, maintenance planning, and load matching are already handled by algorithms.
Artists and musicians. No AI needed. Until a client says, “Can you edit this faster?” Or “Can you give me a few mockups?” Or “Can you clean this audio in 10 seconds?”
Stay-at-home parents. No need for AI. Unless you want faster meal plans, homework help, behavior charts, budgeting help, or a doctor-style explainer for that weird rash on your kid’s arm.
Teachers near retirement. “I’m only working a couple more years.” Those couple of years now include AI lesson plans, AI grading tools, and AI student analysis your school district is already piloting.
You get the idea.
AI doesn’t replace most jobs. It just changes the water those jobs swim in.
So Who’s Actually Off the Hook?
Two groups. And they’re small.
1. People who live entirely off the grid. Chop their own wood. Grow their own food. Live with zero modern systems. They are fine. Also… they aren’t reading this post.
2. People in their 90s who have fully retired from society. No smartphone. No online bills. No banking apps. Just their armchair, their TV, and their routines. Bless them. This article is not for them either.
That's it. That’s the entire list.
Everybody Else Is in the Splash Zone
If you’re breathing. If you work. If you raise kids. If you pay bills. If you communicate. If you plan anything. If you organize anything. If you solve problems.
You’re already bumping into AI whether you see it or not.
And here’s the real danger… The folks who think they don’t need AI will get leapfrogged by the folks who use it a little every day.
Not experts. Not coders. Just people willing to learn the basics.
They’ll work faster. Communicate clearer. Make better decisions. Earn more money. Get home earlier.
That’s the part people miss.
AI isn’t about becoming a robot whisperer. It’s about not being the last person in the building still doing everything by hand.
The Invitation
If you’re reading this and thinking… “Ok, fine. I should probably learn this stuff.” You’re right.
And you don’t need a PhD. You need about twenty minutes.
That’s why we’re hosting AI in 20 on December 4 at 2:00 PM EST. It’s simple. It’s plain spoken. It’s for real people with real jobs and real lives who just want to understand what’s happening.
And yes, I’ll make you laugh a couple times. Gina will too. I’m just the one who can’t stop talking.
If you want in, drop a comment or shoot me a message. We’ll get you registered. Or click this link to register.
Because honestly… the only people who don’t need AI are the ones who aren’t here to read this.
